Baby's First Diwali - Our Family on Diwali 2016

Do you celebrate Diwali? We just celebrated our first Diwali as a family of three which means it was also baby’s first Diwali! I was pretty excited about it.

We celebrated by putting up a ton of lights, and I made gajar ka halwa. We also got together with my family, and ate lots of delicious Indian food, and sweets. Of course baby did not grasp what was happening, but he definitely liked seeing all the lights (and sweets, duh). Here was our attempt at a “Baby’s First Diwali” photo…

Babys first Diwali - Here's our son ready for Diwali 2016!

Here’s our son, ready for his first Diwali!

I’m going to have to scour the internet for ideas for next year’s Diwali photo.

How does your family celebrate Diwali? (And let me know in the comments below if you have any good Diwali photo ideas for next year!)

P.S. – Our wedding video. Also, Mauja hi Mauja is still one of the most fun songs of all time.
